During the course of his career, Dr. Lindsay A. Rosenwald has labored to create and re-capitalize many public and private companies in the biotechnology and life sciences field. Dr. Rosenwald earned his degree in finance and economy from Pennsylvania State University graduating Beta Gamma Sigma in 1977. At Temple University School of Medicine, he received a medical degree graduating in 1983. Dr. Rosenwald received an internship at Abington Medical Hospital, and later worked in private practice until 1986.

In 1988 Dr. Lindsay A. Rosenwald took the position of managing director in corporate finance for D. H. Blair & Company, an investment company. He led a team of three physician-financiers who combed the medical community in search of the latest medical developments that might be marketed with the help of private investors. Dr. Rosenwald and his team dealt with hospitals, research groups, pharmaceutical companies, medical schools, scientific firms, and universities in search of promising medical breakthroughs.

In 2009, Lindsay A. Rosenwald along with Michael S. Weiss formed a new company which is called OpusPoint Partners. The company specializes in healthcare and life sciences investments and consulting and seeks investment opportunities in cutting edge medical technology.

The Institute is happy that the magnificent atrium of the campus is dedicated to the memory of Dr. Rosenwald’s father, Mr. David R. Rosenwald,Esq. The Rosenwalds are cherished individual associates of Sh’or Yoshuv Institute, and join Sh’or Yoshuv for the High Holy Days, while also participating in many other specific events held at the Institute. Without their committed assistance of this foundation, Jewish education would not be nearly as accessible these days. Their continuing support is a source of motivation to the total administration, and a important link to Sh’or Yoshuv Institutes’s future success.

For this reason, Lindsey Rosenwald was honored in 2007 as JHP’s “Mentor of the Year.”  During an event held in June of 2007, Dr. Lindsey Rosenwald received this honor along with other honorees, like Andrew Schwartz – who was an alumni honoree – and Mr. Jonathan Golub, a Strategist for Bear Stearns as well as a longtime supporter of JHP.

Since starting in 1993, Jewish Heritage Programs has helped to engage more than 65,000 students attending 10 colleges or Universities.  Through events organized by these students themselves, they have forged many long-term connections to other students, businesspeople, and to the Jewish community at large.  Individuals like Dr. Lindsey Rosenwald have exponentially enhanced the impact and availability of JHP’s efforts to help Jewish students feel engaged in their heritage while connecting them to their community.
