Jewish Heritage Program

The Jewish Heritage Programs is an effort to assist Jewish students in establishing and maintaining lasting ties to their heritage and community.  Through the efforts of individuals like Dr. Lindsey Rosenwald, JHP is considered to be largely successful in this endeavor.  As a prolific supporter of JHP, Dr. Lindsey Rosenwald’s contributions to the Programs have been as immeasurable as his impact on the fields of medicine and finance.  He was provided this support through the numerous JHP events he has held in his offices.  These events serve to aid JHP in motivating many Jewish students to remain connected with their heritage and community.  While attending events such as those hosted by Dr. Lindsey Rosenwald, Jewish students have had the opportunity to speak with and hear from many successful businesspeople and professionals, who provide mentoring and advice.

For this reason, Lindsey Rosenwald was honored in 2007 as JHP’s “Mentor of the Year.”  During an event held in June of 2007, Dr. Lindsey Rosenwald received this honor along with other honorees, like Andrew Schwartz – who was an alumni honoree – and Mr. Jonathan Golub, a Strategist for Bear Stearns as well as a longtime supporter of JHP.

Since starting in 1993, Jewish Heritage Programs has helped to engage more than 65,000 students attending 10 colleges or Universities.  Through events organized by these students themselves, they have forged many long-term connections to other students, businesspeople, and to the Jewish community at large.  Individuals like Dr. Lindsey Rosenwald have exponentially enhanced the impact and availability of JHP’s efforts to help Jewish students feel engaged in their heritage while connecting them to their community.
